Question:
Bought a new trailer with 15 D rated tires on it. Drives OK with no wind, but dont like the feel with side winds. Would like to put the contender TTT868 on 31 trailer. Pull only during summer months, and can put as many as 6 to 8000 miles on, My question is about the braking aspect. The trailer naturally has brakes, but the questions the braking power with these tires.I really like the open tread.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # TR225LRE have excellent ability to brake due to their deep tread, which is 8.4/32" deep, which is considerable for a trailer tire. So long as you have a good brake controller with proportional braking like the Curt Echo # C51180 you'll have a long-lasting, quality tire.
I've added a link to a video review of the tire for you to check out as well.
