Recommended Weight Distribution System for a 2005 Jayco Jay Feather 23B

Question:
Hello, I tow a 2005 Jayco 23b with a 2005 Nissan Titan with a 4 inch lift. The back end dives when the trailer is attached, which is how I came to look for a weight distribution hitch. My trailer weighs about 5k. My tongue weight changes depending on the length of the trip, etc. About 600 to about 800 lbs. Ive never towed it with the tanks full, and would like to be able to should I find myself in that situation. Id like to be able to reverse without disconnecting the anti sway if possible, but that would be cost dependant. Could you recommend an ideal hitch and a budget conscience option? Thanks,

The best weight distribution system we have for your 2005 Jayco Jay Feather 23B with cost in mind is the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control part # FA94-00-1033. This system will be perfect for your estimated 600-800 lbs of tongue weight as it is rated for 600-1,000 lbs. If you are slightly under the tongue weight range of this system at any given time then you need not worry but you will not want to go over this. Please note that in addition to the total tongue weight of the trailer you also need to add the weight of any cargo stored behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
The Fastway e2 uses friction style spring bars to reduce sway and help level the vehicle which means you should not have an issues with your trailer while in reverse but you do need to make sure both the truck and trailer are in a straight line. If you have to turn the truck while in reverse then you will need to disconnect the spring bars but this is pretty easy to do as it is just one pin on each side. There is not a weight distribution system on the market that will allow you to reverse at an angle without disengaging the spring bars.
The above Fastway e2 comes with everything that you will need to hit the road except for a shank and hitch ball. For a shank that will accommodate the 4" lift kit you have, the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Shank part # FA92-02-4315 should do the job. For a hitch ball, I recommend the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball part # EQ91-00-6120.
If the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control part # FA94-00-1033 is out of your price range then the next best option is the Husky Center Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control part # HT32218 which has a total tongue weight range of 800-1,200 lbs. Like the Fastway e2, you can still reverse but it must be in a straight line. The Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Shank part # FA92-02-4315 will still be needed to accommodate the 4" lift kit you have but the hitch ball is included with this system.
I have attached an install/review video on both of the above systems for you as well.
