In order to install a Reese 15K 5th Wheel Hitch 30032 on your 2010 Ford F-150 Short Bed I recommend using either the Reese Quick-Install Custom Inboard Installation Kit part # RP50081-58 or the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit part # RP56006-53. These options will both provide a connection point for your 5th wheel hitch without requiring any drilling into the truck's frame rails. They are both very popular options and one of the best install kits on the market.
The main difference between them is the way they install. The inboard kit will position the frame brackets so that they attach to the base rails inside the frame whereas the outboard kit will position the frame brackets so that they attach to the base rails outside the frame. The outboard kit will be easier to install as you don't have to crawl under the truck as much. The inboard kit however will be more cost effective. There are no other differences between the two and either will work just fine for you.
Please note that because your truck is a short bed you will need to use a sliding 5th wheel hitch if your trailer does not have a rotating pin box. The reason for this is because your trailer would come into contact with your cab while making a sharp turn if a sliding 5th wheel hitch or rotating pin box was not used. If your hitch is not a slider then I recommend replacing the base with the Reese Fifth Wheel Slider w/ Rollers part # RP30048 or using the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30051. I also recommend using the Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector part # PK11893-11932 for an easy to install in-bed wiring harness.
If you need help with installing the inboard rail kit I have attached a sample video for you below.
