Updated 12/03/2018 | Published 12/01/2018 >
Question:
I went to pick up my 5th wheel. Battery was dead. Plugged the trailer in to my truck and the campgrounds power. The controller read 13.4. Hit auto raise rear jacks nothing. Put it on manual and raise rear jacks, Panel blinks then sez error. Try again jack motor runs , stops, then the controller sez Im level front to back. I try just moving the front jacks. Raise front left front left,on manual, Motor starts Panel blinks, then sez error fl. Sometimes the panel just goes black I have tried auto and manual. I just get a momentary motor run then everything goes haywire. I have heard that Lippert has had problems. This is an all electric syestem, 4 seperate motors.

It sounds like the dead battery on your trailer may have caused a high amperage current stall error on your Lippert leveling system like the Ground Control # LC358590.
What I first recommend doing is simply trying to clear the error message that keeps popping up. Press the retract button and the enter button simultaneously and hold them for about 3 seconds. This should clear the error message and hopefully your system will work again like normal.
If the issue persists check the wiring for the jacks that you can access for any damaged or exposed areas that might be causing a short, replacing as needed. Also make sure that your ground connections are still secured to a clean, bare metal surface that is free of debris or corrosion.
If you are still unable to resolve the issue please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.
