Installation of Aftermarket Brake Controller in 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500 with Factory Controller

Question:
Thank you for the reply. Im going to check it out now. But i did buy the wire harness that plugs into the box under the dash by the left foot. And connected that to the new brake controller as directed. So I'm not to use that anymore?

Factory Integrated Brake Controllers do not always function as well as they hoped. You will be much happier with the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR which will give you much more adjustability and function settings not available with your factory integrated controller. There are connections under your dash and connections under your hood you will need to address for the new controller function and disconnection of the factory controller. I've attached an article to assist in the complete process which also includes photos. You do not need to do anything further with the factory integrated controller.
