Towing an Airstream Sport 16RB with a 2019 Honda Odyssey
Question:
I need to tow my Airstream Sport with my new 2019 Odyssey. Can I get the tow package aftermarket?

From my experience the factory tow package on a Honda Oddysey consists of a hitch, trailer wiring, and a transmission cooler. In addition, you need a ball mount and an electric brake controller because the Airstream Sport 16RB has electric brakes.
The trailer hitch I recommend is the Curt, part # C13370. Since vans tend to sit pretty low in the back you probably need a ball mount with a rise. Look at our ball mount kit, part # 989900, that may work for you. To find out measure from the ground to the bottom of your trailer's coupler with it sitting level. Then find the difference between that measurement and 13, which is the measurement from when we installed the Draw-Tite on an Odyssey. If your trailer sits higher than you need a rise by whatever that difference is.
Since the Airstream has brakes the trailer wiring on the van needs to be a 7-way connector. The easiest way to install one is to start with a 4-way using part # 118781. It plugs in behind a trim panel on the passenger side in the rear cargo area of the Honda. Then add our # ETBC7 kit which converts the 4-way to a 7-way. Everything you need is in the kit. The install a brake controller in the Odyssey's cab. The # ETBC7 kit includes all the wiring you need to install a controller as well. I recommend using the ever so popular Prodigy P3, part # 90195.
Finally, I recommend the Derale Series 8000 transmission cooler, part # D13503. It's a fit for your Honda's 3.5L engine and should be installedso that it gets as much airflow as possible.
I've linked all of the parts I've recommended, as well as install videos on most of them and some help articles on towing for you.
