Could Thule Passive Security Strap be Used to Lock Thule 1-Bike Rack

Question:
For extra security to keep this rack from being stolen off my car,would the Thule passive lock strap work for a hitch rack? I know it was made for a trunk rack, but wouldnt it work also for a hitch rack. I have a Pontic vibe.

Yes, you could use the Thule Passive Security Strap part # TH533 with the Thule T1 bike rack 9041 for additional security. You'd just need to loop it around the rack and then close the round end in the trunk of your vehicle.
