Does 2007 Chevy Avalanche Need Weight Distribution When Towing 3,500 lb Trailer
Question:
Hello, I have a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche 4x4 LTZ and I would like to tow a 2015 A Jayco 185RB jAY Flight SLX . It has a unloaded vehicle weight of 2,650 lbs and a dry tongue weight of 300 lbs and GVW is 3500 with a 890 lb cargo carrying capacity. It also has a towing button inside the avalanche to push when towing. My question is do I need to have a equalizer sway bar when I tow the trailer? I just dont want to waste money if I dont need to. Any help or answers would be greatly appreciated.

For how light the trailer is and your truck basically being a 1500 series truck I wouldn't think a weight distribution system would be required at all. Your trailer is less than half of the towing capacity of the truck so a WD system most likely wouldn't be needed.
Suspension enhancement like the part # TGMRYS4 though would help with any sag you might experience when towing.
