Question:
I have a 2017 Ford Fusion S. I see that the Hollywod Racks HRF2 is confirmed to fit Ford Fusion models through 2016, but not confirmed to fit 2017. Is this because the rack has not been tested for that model year? Or has the design of the Fusion changed in a way and the HRF2 can no longer be securely mounted? Thanks

It does look like the rear spoiler and design of the 2017 Ford Fusion complicates the fit of a standard trunk-mounted bike rack. Hollywood Racks does not deem any attachment points on the 2017 model suitable to mount the rack and for it to be safely secured during travel. There is not a trunk-mounted bike rack available that is confirmed to fit your vehicle at this time.
Your best option for transporting bikes with your Ford Fusion is going to be with a trailer hitch and hitch-mounted bike rack. For your vehicle (as long as it isn't the Sport model), I recommend the Draw-Tite Class I Sport Frame Receiver Hitch # 24897. This Class I hitch is confirmed to fit your Ford Fusion and will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. I have attached an installation video that you can use for reference.
Then when choosing a bike rack, you will just need to make sure that it is compatible with Class I trailer hitches. Also note that the most bikes a Class I hitch can handle is 2.
I really like the Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack # KU74FR. This Class I compatible platform-style rack features ratcheting hooks that will hold your bikes by the wheels with no frame contact. A foot pedal will allow you to tilt the carrier back for easy rear cargo access and it can safely secure 2 bikes of up to 40 pounds each.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this bike rack so you can get a closer look at all of its features. I have also attached a link that will take you directly to our selection of Class I compatible bike racks that you can look through.
