Recommended Fuse Bypass Switch for a 2009 Honda Fit

Question:

Both Blue Ox and Roadmaster provide a Fuse bypass switch which they say will work for the Fit BUT in the information it says a 20 amp fuse is the max for the bypass switch. The Fit has a 30 amp radio fuse. What should I do? Just be sure to stop every few hours and run the car to keep battery charged or must I pull the fuse very hard to do due to location.

You are correct in that the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass part # RM76511 and the Blue Ox Fuse ByPass Switch part # BX88272 both have a 20 amp max fuse rating. This is mainly due to the gauge of wire that is used in the harness in relation to the distance that the circuit needs to travel.

However, I do still have a solution for you that will not require you to physically pull the fuse each and every time and that is the Blue Ox Fuse ByPass High-Amp Fuse Switch part # BX88274 which is rated up to 50 amps and will do an excellent job of cutting power to the radio on your 2009 Honda Fit.
