Sounds like each of the taillight circuits on your 4-way have a two wires ran to them for each side of the trailers wiring. This is pretty common and what you can do is wire the two wires of each pin to the single wires of a new 4-way like the # W787264. That will allow all of the same circuits to get the same signal.

I just had the 4 pin connector break on my boat trailer. It also has 7 wires. Looking at it, each wire enters the connector separately, so I can tell which wires would get spliced together. Is there a common wire pattern or somewhere to find a wiring diagram?

@B Hopefully the wire colors are different and they use the standard wiring colors for 4-ways where white is ground, brown is taillight, green is right turn/stop, and yellow is left turn/stop.

@JamesonC yes those are the colors. It’s like a set of solid colors and then a set striped. So I’ll just match the colors and hope they followed that standard. Thank you.

@JamesonC I have an older Wesbar 4 pin connector on my boat trailer that also has seven wires, But there are two white wires, one green wire, one yellow wire, one brown wire with a white stripe, one brown wire with a green stripe, and one brown wire with a yellow stripe. Some wires are stripped near the four prong connector so How do I rewire those seven wires to a four wire connector?
