Replacement Light Bulbs for Trail Lite by R Vision Trailer to Replace 921 and 912 Types
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Twice I’ve taken burned out light bulbs to RV stores to get replacements. Both times they said it was a 921. In the store they look right, but every time they will NOT fit! Does a 912 have a slightly smaller base?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Small incandescent light bulbs like the 921 and 912 types are very similar in shape and size. We do offer both. These are intended to have a fairly snug fit in the bulb receptacles found in RV lighting fixtures.
Since these bulbs have a glass base their dimensions can vary a little bit from bulb to bulb. But so long as you are matching up the bulb number from the old one you should not have an issue.
You might consider using an LED replacement instead of a basic glass bulb that will continue to require you to find and install replacements periodically. These are manufactured much more precisely than the basic glass bulbs and their dimensions and fit in your light fixtures should be a lot easier as well as provide you the benefits of LED operation. For an LED to replace a 912 bulb you can use # AR50610. For a replacement for a 921 use # DI48VR.
LED lights use less power, create less waste heat, do not darken or turn yellowish with age and they last a very long time.
