The etrailer Class III Receiver Hitch # e98840 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2018 Acura MDX. We haven't yet had a chance to install this on your 2018 model MDX, but I have attached the installation video for the 2014 Acura MDX and the 2020 Acura MDX. The process for your vehicle should be almost identical.

This Class III hitch will use existing holes in the vehicle's frame for a no-drill installation. Its 2 inch receiver opening will work with a wide variety of hitch-mounted accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers, as well as a ball mount for light towing.
