Question:
Hi, Im trying to determine if the the Curt TruTrack 17500 will fit my trailer. I only have an opening on my trailer from 25-29inch along the A-frame from the center of the ball propane mount is a fixed welded design. The Curt 17500 recommends setting the frame brackets 4 inches from the end of the trunnion bar. Therefore the most obvious question is: What is the length of the trunnion bar? Could you measure and let me know?

I checked and the spring bars of the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17500 are 35" long and 1-1/4" wide and based on your photo and the necessary positioning of the brackets. I do have a solution which could work for you, however. Since the TruTrack you asked about would be for a 900 lb total tongue weight I assume that you need a system with that tongue weight rating. The Equal-i-zer # EQ37120ET has brackets that can be positioned 27" - 32" from the center of the coupler. It features 4-points of friction sway control which prevent your trailer from swaying and create a level ride. It comes with everything you need for installation but it is recommended you use thin-walled socket # EQ70-00-4800 for installation of the hitch ball.
I've added links to video reviews of the Equal-i-zer for you to take a look at.
