Adapting a Thule Bike Rack to a 2018 Subaru WRX with Factory Thule Crossbars

Question:

Hello, Two years ago I purchased from you a Thule roof rack for a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer along with a Prologue bike rack TH516 and a cross bar mounted front wheel career TH593. The roof rack is a square load bar THLB50. These systems are awesome and I love how well they function. But I recently purchased a 2018 Subaru WRX and included an installed Thule roof rack from the Subaru accessories catalogue. It is some type of Thule aero bar - elliptical, like a wing - with rubber channel covers on the top of each bar. The wheel career does adapt to the new aero bars on the WRX. I would really like to continue using the Prologue bike rack I purchased from you, but what I cant figure out is if the XADAPT9 or some other adapter will work to adapt the Prologue to the Thule/Subaru aero roof rack cross bars. Any help you can give me is appreciated. Thank you very much

The crossbars on your new 2018 Subaru WRX should be an AeroBlade Edge kit, like part # TH7062-TH7603. For any future accessories, you'll want to look for those that fit the Thule AeroBlade type bars.

In the case of the Prologue, you're right on in that the XAdapt 9 kit, part # THXADAPT9 is the correct kit to adjust the Prologue to working on the Thule AeroBlade bars.
