Is the 2017 Ford F350 Integrated Brake Controller Compatible with EOH Disc Brakes?
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Is the ford 2017 trailer brake system compatible with dexter hydraulic disk brakes?
asked by: Chuck L
Expert Reply:
Yes, your 2017 Ford F350 factory brake controller is compatible with Dexter electric over hydraulic (EOH) disc brakes.
With that said, the factory brake controller is still not up to par with aftermarket brake controllers like the Prodigy P3, # 90195. Many Ford owners end up replacing the factory controller with the Prodigy because it is a better and less costly unit that just simply works better in EOH systems. Factory controllers are usually fine with electric brakes, but are hit-and-miss with EOH brakes. You can use harness # 22292 to connect the P3 to your truck's under-dash port. The P3 works with both electric and EOH brakes. An install video for a similar unit is linked for you.
