For your Coachmen Freedom Express 248rbs travel trailer, I recommend the Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control - Trunnion Bar - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW # RP66084. This system actively works to prevent trailer sway and keep your trailer in line with your towing vehicle. It is easily my favorite system based on the design features and function. The dual cams and the hot rolled spring bars create a very user friendly system with adjustability for driving preferences.
You want to choose a system based on features and total tongue weight rating. This total tongue weight is the loaded tongue weight of your trailer along with any cargo behind the rear axle of your towing vehicle. This particular system is designed to work with a total tongue weight between 600 and 1200 lbs, so it will be a great choice for you.
You will need a hitch ball with this system and I recommend the # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch diameter or # A-90 for a 2 inch diameter option. The hitch ball will need to match your trailer coupler.
The Fastway E2 you mentioned is not big enough, but you can use the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW # EQ37120ET which is a similar style. This system comes with the 2-5/16 inch hitch ball but will require a thin walled socket like # ALL643216 or # EQ70-00-4800 to install.
