Starting with the roof rack itself, as long as your 2012 Kia Sorento has raised factory side rails and is without the Vista Roof, the Malone AirFlow 2 Roof Rack # MPG215 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit and will work well. This system will provide a nice aerodynamic roof rack to cut down on wind drag/noise and a weight capacity of 165 pounds.
The crossbars for this roof rack are 3 inches wide and 1 inch in height. You will just need to make sure your Direct Aftermarket Kayak Roof Carrier is compatible with these dimensions so that they are able to securely attach to the crossbars. We do not currently have this product available, so I cannot be sure of its specifications.
For a similar style carrier that is confirmed to fit the Malone Roof Rack, I recommend looking at the Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier # Y04073. This carrier can hold up to 2 kayaks with a total weight of 110 pounds. It uses 2 folding, J-style cradles to support the kayaks and they can be folded down for storage when not in use. The system also includes includes tie-down straps and bow/stern tie-downs to secure the kayak.
I have attached a video demonstration on this carrier so you can see exactly how it installs and operates.
