Tire Chain Compatibility with Tire Size 225/60-16

Question:

I have a set of Security Chain Co. SCC SZ335 tire chains which says they will fit 225/55-16. Will they fit my tires which are 225/60-16?

Virtually all tire chains will fit more than one single tire size. I found part SZ335 online and checked the specs for the tire sizes it fits. It does fit 225/55-16 tires but does NOT fit 225/60-16 tires.

You will want to check your vehicle owner's manual for any guidance or restrictions regarding the use of tire chains on your particular vehicle and with that particular tire size installed. Some vehicles can use chains only on one specific tire size; others can use chains only on one of the axles. Be sure to check your manual before installing any chains.

Always limit your speed to no more than 35-mph when using chains and never drive on a bare road with chains installed.
