How To Locate 3rd Brake Light Wire On 2011 Chevrolet Silverado For Camper Shell
Question:
Hello, The specific vehicle is a 2011 Silverado 2500. It has the factory 5th wheel wire bundle. I have read a number of your answers regarding the additional light blue wire for a 3rd brake in the factory wire bundle above the spare tire. To your knowledge does this wire also exist somewhere further up in the 5th wheel wire bundle that was zip tied in front of the fuel tank ? it certainly is not at the end of that bundle. Thanks for you help!

You found the right wire bundle to get the additional wire for your camper shell. If you peel back the wire loom on the bundle, you should find the light blue wire that is used for a third brake light on your shell.
I attached a photo that shows where you can find the wire. You may want to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to make sure you have the wire you need. It is always best to test the wires for function because a manufacturer can use different colored wire.
