Connecting Solar Panel Lead Wires To Two-6 Volt Batteries Connected In Series
Question:
I have solar panels that I used on a trailer with a single 12-volt battery. I now have a trailer with two 6-volt batteries connected in series to produce 12 volts. I need information a diagram would be great to show where the solar panel leads should be connected. To avoid mistakes due to my ignorance, the diagram should include the info on which wires go from the batteries to the trailer converter. Thanks!

For this application you will want to use the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D. This will give you a clear input for your solar panel and alternator and a clear positive output to your two 6V batteries run in series and to negative. I've attached a diagram as requested.

Not helpful. Should be a way to hookup the panels to the batteries directly. Just need to know since the 2 6 volts are set up to equal one 12 volt, do I attach both neg and pos cables to one battery or neg to one 6v and pos to the other 6v?
