When using the change key part # Y8007835 to remove and replace a lock cylinder what you have to do is first have the lock in the unlocked position. Next you will insert the change key into the core. With the key in the core you will then be able to slide the core out as one piece. To reinstall the core (or a new one), you have to insert the core with the change key inserted in it and then once in place remove the key. It will then be secured to the rack/accessory.

I’m having trouble removing the stock lock core that came with my skyline tower as there were no instructions to do so. I understand the process of replacing them with the sks locks but I cannot remove the built it in core that’s already in it. Please advise, thank you!
