Question:
I am in the process purchasing a 2016 Toyota 4 Runner. I need to carry a 10 foot perception kayak and an 116inch Riviera paddle board. 33inch wide. What kind of system would you recommend for carrying these two items? Will I need aftermarket extendedinch crossbars. Or Do I get the factory crossbars and then different attachments for the kayak and paddleboard? Maybe a J carrier for the kayak and just pads for the paddle board? The forerunner does not have crossbars yet. But I can add them on. I would prefer to not have extended crossbars if you think theres a way to accomplish this with the factory crossbars? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Since your 4Runner has only roof side rails (no crossbars) we can help you with a roof rack that will allow you to transport both your kayak and paddle board.
I suggest the Malone AirFlow2 system # MPG216 that uses 58-inch square bars. An installation video is linked for you.
On this rack you can use the 33-1/2-inch Rhino-Rack # RRRWP05 for the paddle board and the J-style kayak carrier # TH834.
You'll want to check the 4Runner's manual for its roof weight capacity to ensure your two watercraft and the rack and carriers all together do not exceed its capacity.
