Replacement Trailer Tire Size ST215/75R14 Recommendation
Question:
I currently have Goodyear marathon ST 215/75R14 tires C rated on my tandem trailer. Can you recommend a replacement tire including one for spare. And is it worth the money and safety to upgrade to a D rated tire?

Going with a higher rated trailer tire than needed doesn't really offer any real advantages so if you are good with the Load Range C you have now I would stay with it.
I would recommend the Taskmaster part # TTWTR21514 this is a radial in the same size and Load Range as what you have, but what really sets it apart for me is the speed rating. Most trailer tires are only rated for 65 MPH but this one is rated for 81 MPH. This tire has a capacity of 1,870-lb max load at 50 psi.
If you do need the Load Range D then you would want the # TTWTRTM2157514D instead that has a 2,200-lb max load at 65 psi capacity.
