Subaru Outback 2016 Tire Chain Recommendation for Tire Size 225/60R18

Hi, I have a 2016 Subaru Outback Limited with 225 60 R18 tires. I would like to purchase tire chains: - I believe this model will need a SAE class S/low clearance chain design - Ive been looking at the Thule XG-12 Pro - Size 247 chains - although these appear to be Class S compatible 15mm on sidewalls and 37mm tread face - they are not indicated as so in the manufacturer specifications. Questions: - With this model Thule work on my vehicle? - Are there other makes/model you would recommend? Thanks,

The Thule Chains part # TH01594247 will fit your 2016 Subaru Outback with 225/60R18 tires. S Compatible chains mean they require less than 15 mm of wheel well clearance. These chains only require 12 mm of clearance so they would be considered compatible.

These chains are high quality chains that will be easy to install, will provide great traction, will last a long time due to the manganese-nickel alloy steel construction and have a great 5 year warranty. Most chains only have a 30 day warranty.

You will need to check the owners manual or with Subaru to determine if there are restrictions on tire chain usage.
