can i install this on my trailblazer ss 2007? is it optimal for that size engine or should i get a bigger one?

The best way to pick out a transmission cooler for a vehicle is to go with the largest one that will fit the available space in front of the radiator of your vehicle. The Derale Cooler part # D13504 is a large cooler that would do an excellent job. It measures 11" Wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep.
You should have room for this cooler but you still might measure just to be sure. You will also want the fitting part # D13035 to make installing the cooler easier. This fitting will allow you to install the cooler without having to cut or flare any metal lines.
