Engine Oil Cooler Recommendation for a 2008 Chevy Silverado with 5.3 Liter V8
Question:
I have an 08 silverado with 5.3. I need to know if this adapter actually fit in place of the filter. I ordered one from summit that was supposed to fit and its for the older small blocks with normal filter. It cant be bigger in diameter than the filter or it hits the pan. Thank you.

The adapter for the oil filter on the part # D15405 comes with several threads that will adapt to what your block has on it.
The adapter plate of this is designed to fit vehicles that have a 3-1/2 inch filter landing. This was primarily designed to fit GM small block and big block V8 from 1963-2007 so it would work well for you.
