Question:
Is this compatible with angle iron A-frames? All the pictures and videos show tubular frames. Also, can you buy extra adapters for multiple trailers?

Expert Reply:
Trailer frame made of angle iron do not have enough surface area to safely attach snap-up brackets like those included with system # RP66542. But what you can do is use bolt on brackets # RP58305. You could get multiple sets of these for your trailers to use the weight distribution system on all of the trailers.
The only other issue is that if the trailers all have different tongue weights this system may not work for all of them. It has a tongue weight capacity range of 600 to 1,200 pounds. If the tongue weights of the trailers all fall within that range then you would just need the one system.
For any trailers with a tongue weight outside of that range I would need to know what the tongue weights are to recommend alternate spring bars to use with those trailers.
With the system you are looking at you will need to add a ball that fits the head. For a 2 inch ball use # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball use # 19286. I have included some links on weight distribution for you.
