Expert Reply:
On many Nissan/Jatco automatic transmissions the rear transmission line is the return line. But an easy way to tell is to wait for the truck to be cold, then start it up and shift into drive for about 15 seconds. Then put it back in park and turn off the truck. Then under the truck carefully touch the transmission lines. One will be noticeably warmer. So that makes the cooler one the return line.
