Question:
Hi I own a 2015 Ram 2500 Short Bed 4WD. I recently installed the Reese Rail kit that fits into my Factory Pucks Tow Prep I also have the Curt R16 Roller and wanted to ask what the difference is between the Curt A16 and E16 Hitch Heads? Ill only be towing around 9K but am looking for a hitch head that has a lower profile or better adjustable option due to my 3inch front / 1inch rear level kit on my truck. Durability and ride comfort is also important. Which hitch head would you recommend for my application? Thanks in advance.

Expert Reply:
The Head Unit and R16 Roller Adapter # C16515 is more of an entry level fifth wheel head designed for a lower price point, whereas the A16 part # C16520 is a bit nicer with it's 2 piece jaw system that will provide better king pin contact which will minimize movement and noise.
The A16 also features a color indicator system so that you can look at the indicator on the rear of the hitch to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).
Both will fit and will have the same height adjustability, but since you are looking for ride comfort I would go with the A16.
