Question:

Were confused about whether our BX 7365 Alpha Tow Bar is a class II or class III which I guess we need to know to purchase a lock. We also bought a receiver which will need a lock as well.

Expert Reply:

The Blue Ox Alpha tow bar, # BX7380, and all hitch mounted tow bars fit in a 2 inch receiver. So you would need a 5/8 inch diameter lock such as # BX8858. A Class II accessory would have a 1-1/4 inch shank whereas Class III accessories have 2 inch shanks.
