Best Suspension Helper Springs for a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 with 2 Inch Block Lift
Question:
I HAVE A 2014 SILVERADO 4WD 1500 AND I HAVE 2 INCH BLOCKS IN THE REAR, THERFORE THE TRUCK IS ONE INCH HIGHER IN THE REAR THAN IT WAS FROM FACTORY. WILL THESE BAGS STILL WORK? ALSO DO THESE BAGS AFFECT SUSPENSION TRAVEL AT ALL? THANK YOU

Expert Reply:
If the blocks on your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 lift just the body and not the suspension then you can still use Firestone air bags # F2430. If it is a suspension lift then they would not fit properly.
The suspension can still travel but depending on how much air pressure is in the bags it will not travel as much. The more air the less travel.
What I recommend if the truck has a suspension lift is to use SuperSprings # SSA8MTKT or # SSA5MTKT (for stock leaf spring stacks above the axle). Or another option is to use TorkLift StableLoad # TLA7310 for lower overload springs. The travel of the suspension will not change as much using these products.
