Troubleshooting Powered A-Frame Jack that Has 12 Volts Power But Does not Function
Question:
Our Lippert Tongue Jack odd not come with instructions but how hard could it be right? Take off the old Jack and put on the electric Jack, went to hook up the battery and nothing, made sure battery was charged, nothing. Googled for assistance and found this page, when mounting the new electric Jack we did not remove the fuse, would this cause the electric Jack not to work?

Expert Reply:
The fuse being left in really shouldn't have caused an issue. Most likely your problem is a bad ground for the jack though. The # LC285318 grounds through the mounting hardware so what you would need to do is run a jumper wire from between the track jack mounting bracket and the mounting bracket of the jack back to the ground wire of your trailer wiring or to negative side of trailer battery if it has a battery.
That should get your jack working again.
