You would have to go with a hitch mounted option as there is no safe way I can recommend you carry a wheelchair with a trunk mounted bike rack like the part # HRE3 that you referenced.

For a hitch for your 2014 Lincoln MKZ you would want the Draw Tite hitch part # 24897.

Then for a cargo carrier you would want the Curt part # C18145.

For a stretchable cargo net you would want the part # C18200 as well.
