Today we'll be taking a look at the K Source custom extendable towing mirror. Now this is going to be a direct replacement for your vehicle. It has this extendable function so we can get a better field of view from our towing mirror. So we can push that out and widen out that angle that we can see with our mirror. This is going to be a fit for the 1999 through 2002 GMC Sierra and the Chevrolet Silverado, as well as for the 2000 through 2002 GMC Yukon and Yukon Excel, the Chevrolet Suburban, and the Cadillac Escalade, and also the 2001 through 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe and the 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. The nice thing about this is that it's going to plug right into your factory wiring. There's no cutting or splicing with this, and our footprint is going to directly match up with our footprint from our original mirror, so there's no drilling required. Just matches right up with your old mirror. Goes pretty easily. One thing to note, though, with those power functions are heating, the remote control so we can adjust our mirror inside our cab.

If your vehicle didn't already have those functions, this is not going to be an upgrade. It's not going to give you those functions if your vehicle wasn't already equipped for them, so just keep that in mind. But if you have the heated glass and that remote control inside your vehicle, it's going to work just fine for you.In addition to have our extending out function, we'll also have a breakaway feature. So you'll see it's kind of hinged right here. This mirror will flatten in on itself so that whenever you're in a close quarters parking or maybe going into a parking garage, pulling into your garage at home, you can flatten that out and make it a little bit more compact.The mirror up at the top, this is going to be the portion that's actually electronically controlled, and then we'll have our spotter mirror at the bottom.

This is going to be a manual adjustment that's going to have a convex design to give us a greater field of view and help to alleviate any blind spots that we might have. The large mirror surface is going to measure seven and three quarter inches tall and then six and seven eighths inches wide and our spotter mirror is three and a quarter inches tall. The distance from our vehicle to the edge of the mirror when it's extended like this is going to be 22 inches. Whenever you have it retracted, it's 18 inches. This is FMVS approved.
