Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this CURT ball mount for your two inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, if you've lifted your truck or you switched to a new trailer, your old ball mount might not line up anymore and that can make towing rough or unsafe. So this mount is going to solve that problem by letting you get the perfect drop or rise for a level towing. So this is gonna give you a smoother and safer ride. And this is going to fit your standard two inch trailer hitch receiver.
And it does have a one inch ball hole, so it's gonna be compatible with most towing setups. And from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole, this measures right at 13 inches. And so depending on your setup, this is gonna be able to handle up to 5,000 pounds gross towing weight and 500 pounds tongue weight in the drop position, or 3,500 pounds gross towing weight and 350 pounds tongue weight in the rise position. So obviously I have it in the drop position right now. You flip this over, that'll put you in the rise position.
So this is designed with versatility and practicality in mind and you're going to be able to flip it to use this in either this dropped position of 10 inches or when you flip it an 8 inch rise. So it's going to work with a variety of trailer heights. This shank is gonna give you the extra clearance between your hitch and your trailer coupler, making it easier to avoid bumper interference. And this is built from heavy duty steel. It uses a, it's strong enough to handle that 5,000 pounds of towing capacity without bending or flexing.
And the black powder coat finish is gonna protect it from rust, moisture, and road grime. So this is a sturdy mount, it's corrosion resistant, and it's gonna be a flexible option that's gonna help you keep your trailer level and your towing experience safe and smooth.
