I spoke with my contact at Westin regarding the correct replacement rear bumper for your 1979 Toyota Pickup. Westin only lists fits back to the 1980 model, so they cannot confirm a fit. For the 1980 Toyota Pickup, Westin lists the # 61000-94400 Diamondstep Rear Bumper/Mounting kit. The # 66000 bumper is a fit for a later 1995-1999 Toyota Tacoma.
Both the 1979 and 1980 Toyota pickup were of the 3rd generation, so a bumper that fits the 1980 model is a likely fit for the 1979 model since they're of the same generation. However, since Westin can't positively confirm the fit, etrailer.com can't guarantee the bumper and install kit will be compatible.
