Im curious on how long can the bar be on my reese hitch on my truck

The hitch box extender # RP45018 you referenced will extend your receiver opening to a maximum length of 48-inches away from your truck. But is also offers the option of being shortened to 41-inches.
If you have the hitch box extender at 41-inches the weight carrying capacity is 5,000 pounds, whereas 48-inches the weight carrying capacity is 4,000 pounds. Note that it only works with 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch receivers.
