Does Firestone Axle Bracket Extension Kit Sit Flush Against the Rear End Housing or is there a Gap
Published 11/11/2014 >
Question:
does this bracket actually rest firmly on the top of the rear end housing or is there clearance between the housing and the bracket?

I spoke with my technical contact at Firestone and he said that on some trucks, there is a small gap, up to 1/4 of an inch, and that is fine. On others there is no gap. This kit is meant for use only on certain trucks with factory lift. If your truck does not have a factory lift then this likely is not going to be the proper kit for you. I would need to know the year, make, and model of the truck, and if the lift is factory or aftermarket and, if aftermarket, if it is a body lift or suspension lift.
