Availability of Replacement Plunger Pin Kit

Published 11/05/2014

Question:

Hi, I have a Fulton 1000 lb jack on the front of my 2003 Moomba boat trailer. My brother in law was using the boat and sheered of the plunger pin, he ordered another one but doesnt seem to be long enough, as when I pull it to swivel the jack, it comes back through the trailer and jack so you have to realign the pin with the hole and I know the old pin didnt do that. The plunger pin that broke was a 3/8inch dia. but I dont know that it hasnt been replaced before I noticed that the hole on the left side of the jack when in vertical position with wheel down and mounted to trailer is for a 3/8inch plunger but the hole on the right side of the jack seems to be larger, maybe 1/2. So with all that being said, which side of jack does the plunger install? If I cant get a replacement plunger pin kit that is the correct length, is there a complete jack replacement? The current jack I have just has a bolt through the middle of the place that bolts to the square frame of the trailer.

The plunger pins are usually specific to the brand of jack and usually are not interchangeable.

Unfortunately, without knowing the model number of your existing jack, I cannot say for certain which pin will work for you.

I have provided a photo showing the dimensions of the plunger pin you referred to, as well as another we offer. You could compare those dimensions to the pin of your existing jack to see if any of them would be a correct replacement.

For a replacement jack I recommend the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack, part # FXP10. This jack has a weight capacity of 1200 lbs. I have included a video review of this jack for you to check out.
