Question:
I purchased a Curt Class 1 trailer hitch from you for my 1999 Toyota Corolla, and I was planning on purchasing a Yakima Holdup 2 bike rack, but I noticed on your site that rack is Class 2 rated, my question is, if Im only hauling about 60-70 pounds worth of bikes, and the rack only weighs 50 pounds, will it cause a problem to use the Yakima rack?

1-1/4 inch hitch accessories that are listed as Class II only physically can't be installed in a Class I hitch as there is a safety device installed in the Class I hitches that prevents a Class II accessory from being installed in it. Check out the FAQ article I attached to the right on hitch classifications and the picture I attached as well.
For a similar bike rack that would fit your Class I hitch I would recommend the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack part # S64670. This is the most popular rack we offer that is confirmed to work on a Class I hitch, and has a ton of positive reviews from our customers. My Dad has this rack and really likes it as well. Check out the review video I attached for more info.
