Why Does the Yakima Exo Swinging Enclosed Cargo Carrier # Y62VR Swing to the Right

Do they make a version that opens to the left? Ie Rav4

The Yakima Swinging Enclosed Cargo Carrier # Y62VR is only available in the configuration where it swings to the right. This is intentional, if for some reason you had to pull over to the side of the road and get into the rear hatch of your vehicle you would not want to have to swing the carrier to the left and into the flow of traffic.
