Question:
Hello, i went to hook up my buddys pop-up to my SUV and his brake light cord was too short to reach my plug in. I have a 7 blade on my SUV and he has a 7 blade cord on the pop-up. Thanks,

The TorkLift wiring harness extension # TLW6028 will be a short term solution or if it's an occasional fix. The reason I say that is because it opens up possibilities of problems. These problems could result in becoming disconnected, additional connection points that could get dirt and grime in the connector to name a few.
To avoid some issues associated with corrosion on the connection points you can use dielectric grease # 11755 or # LT37534 that seals out moisture and prevents corrosion. You can also use a couple zip ties around the connectors for a more secure fit.
If you plan on using your buddy's camper with your 2006 Lexus LX-470 on a regular basis I would recommend rewiring the trailer with a longer plug. You would need a 7-Way molded trailer wire connector like # H20046 that is 8 feet long. A circuit tester # PTW2993 will allow you to identify each of the wires on the trailer by function only and then compare the connection to the diagrams on our wiring page. See picture to the right.
Always ensure to rewire by function and not necessarily by color.
I have included a couple FAQ's and videos for you as well.
