What holds down the sides of roll up covers

The sides of roll up tonneau covers like the part # 834532006823 that you referenced are typically sealed to the truck bed rails with Velcro. But what mainly keeps the sides of the cover down is the amount of tension in the cover that is created between the front mount of the cover and the latching system at the rear of the truck bed. The cover is so taut that the sides would not lift up once the cover is latched properly.
