On the Draw-Tite 4-Way flat trailer side connector # 18004, the white wire is ground, brown is running lights, yellow is left turn signal/brake lights, and green is right turn signal/brake lights.
Some trailers have what is called a wishbone harness, such as # A20WB. These harnesses will have 2 running light wires, one for each side of the trailer. This is so you do not have to run a jumper wire from one side of the trailer to the other to get running lights on both sides.
