How Far From the Roof Edge to the Point of Where the Ladder Attaches on Roof for # LA-401

Question:

Need to know how far onto my trailers roof the upper two pieces will extend. To keep it simple, how far from the center of the ladder tubes to the center of the forward vertical component of the roof mounting pieces? Also, can you get this in black? The manufacturer offers it in that color too.

From the point that attaches to the top of an RV to the other side of the ladder the # LA-401 measures 18 inches. This ladder uses 5 inch stand-offs, so from the edge of the top of your RV to where the ladder will attach will be approximately 13 inches. We do not offer this in black, a black ladder might get pretty hot in the summer from the sun and heat.
