Will My 2001 Ford Crown Victoria Require Modifications to Install a Trailer Hitch
Published 08/19/2008 >
Question:
I have a 2001 crown victoria with dual exhaust. It appears that exhaust modification is required for all trailer hitches you sell. What modifications are necessary?

Expert Reply:
Modifications to the exhaust are only needed on 2003 and later model years. The exhaust is moved from its factory installed hanger on the car to the actual hitch. Your 2001 model year will not need these modifications.
