Question:
I am putting the E-100 on the back of my travel trailer to use for a bike rack. Is there any problem with turning the E-100 upside down to allow for better clearance. My question is the weight capacity compromised by doing so?

There's no reason you couldn't install the Curt Hitch part # E-100 with the hitch opening above the bumper. I spoke with my contact at Curt to see if there were any restrictions or further limitations by using this hitch upside down and he told me that you will have no problem using it that way.
There are only certain bike racks that are rated for use at the back of an RV or trailer. I have included a link to the options to the right for you. I recommend the # S63381.
Make sure the bumper is rated for weight carrying applications.
