Question:
Hello, I have a 2006 car hauler with 2 dome lights that are switched by the side entry door. I use my trailer for storage, basically a work shop but I would like to run the dome lights without backing my truck up and connecting everything. What kind of options do I have?

You would need a 12V power source on or inside the trailer that would provide the power needed to power the dome lights in your trailer. You can then install the battery in-line into the power wire coming from the 7-way connector. This would then charge the battery on the trailer when hooked to your truck, and give you the power needed when you want to unhook your truck, and use your car hauler like a work shop.
If you plan on leaving the car hauler off of your truck for extended periods of time, I recommend using a charger like part # CTEK56353. This would plug into any household plug and would charge the trailer battery and keep it charged with pulse maintenance.
A battery box I recommend is part # DW03188. This box is vented for safety and includes the installation hardware.
I have attached a couple of product review videos you can check out.
