Recommended Hitch for a 2025 Lexus NX 250

Hey Bryan. To add a hitch to your 2025 Lexus NX 250, I recommend the Curt item # C33NR.

Unfortunately, all of the hitches that fit your 2025 Lexus NX 250 affect the sensors that operate the liftgate. We've gotten a few reviews back that state the Curt item # C33NR blocks it the least and you can find spots where the sensors still work around the sides of the 2" receiver. Lexus also has a shorter OEM replacement kick sensor and wire harness kit they install on the models with a factory hitch that solves this problem as well.

The Curt item # C33NR is a custom fit class III hitch with a 2" receiver. This hitch has a 4,500 lbs towing capacity and a 675 lbs maximum tongue weight. You're definitely going to like the way this hitch looks when it's installed. The entire crosstube is concealed behind the rear bumper leaving only the 2" receiver visible. This not only looks better but helps with ground clearance.

If you are going to be towing a trailer or operating lights on an accessory like a bike rack, you'll also need the Curt Trailer Wiring Kit item # C59496. It'll add a 4-way connector to your Lexus.

I also recommend the Mounting Bracket for 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # C42CR and item # C83DR. This combo of mounting brackets will attach the 4-way connector to the crosstube of the etrailer item # C33NR hitch without drilling.
